History of St. Edward Parish

Established in 1899 and still growing on Chicago's Northwest Side.

History

St. Edward Parish was first established in 1899 and served the growing Mayfair neighborhood as a mission church of St. Viator Parish. Fast forward to today: our parish community is as vibrant as ever, with over 1,200 families from diverse backgrounds, all worshiping the Triune God on our beautiful campus on the northwest side of Chicago.

Mission

St. Edward Catholic Church is an evangelizing parish community: by faith, with love, in hope, and rooted in the sacramental life of the Church. Here, the Holy Spirit inspires Saints who inspire more Saints to build up the Kingdom of God.
